Air that passes through the valve also passes through the 100 by 100 mesh Type 304 stainless steel cloth of the Shielded Nut Assembly. This cloth is secured to the MIL-DTL-5541, Type 1, Class 3 conversion coated aluminum nut housing with silver-filled conductive epoxy to form a Faraday cage which protects the interior of the container from unwanted radio frequency and electromagnetic radiation. The 238070 Shielded Nut Assembly comes standard with a silicone base conductive gasket* that is filled with silver-coated aluminum particles. The surface of the enclosure or case that this conductive gasket contacts when the Shielded Nut Assembly is installed must be conductive. Custom RFI\/EMI Shielded Nut Assemblies are available for Pressure Relief Valves with desiccant cartridges.
